POL-AGENT at the ALUMINIUM 2026 Fair in Düsseldorf
POL-AGENT at the International Aluminium Trade Fair
On October 6–8, 2026, POL-AGENT representatives participated in the ALUMINIUM fair in Düsseldorf. The event provided an opportunity to discuss the market situation, industry trends, and the challenges related to aluminium imports and international supply chains.
POL-AGENT was represented by Anna Barska-Bielecka, CEO of the company, and Mateusz Dziechciarz, Commercial and Freight Forwarding Manager from the Szczecin office.
ALUMINIUM brings together international representatives from across the entire aluminium value chain — from raw materials and primary production, to processing, technology, industrial applications, and recycling. The event provides a platform for presenting innovations, sharing expertise, and building business relationships.
As a company with years of experience in comprehensive aluminium services, POL-AGENT actively tracks industry developments and supports its partners in navigating a dynamically changing market environment.

Aluminium Market: Trade, Raw Material Availability and Supply Chains
During the fair, key topics of discussion included the current situation in the aluminium market, industry growth prospects, aluminium imports to Poland, as well as challenges related to raw material availability, costs, and the organization of international supply chains.
For importers and businesses utilizing aluminium, success relies not only on trade terms and raw material availability, but also on evolving regulatory standards. Accurate documentation and streamlined customs and logistics management are increasingly critical to smooth supply operations.
CBAM and Non-EU Aluminium Imports
The Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), the EU’s carbon border tax system, entered its definitive period on January 1, 2026. It applies to certain goods imported into the EU, including selected aluminium products.
For importers, this means verifying whether the imported goods are subject to these regulations and confirming the obligations arising from their classification and current rules. The scope of requirements depends, among other factors, on the product type and the relevant tariff codes. Learn more about this in our guide to the CBAM carbon tax.
Aluminium and the future of the automotive industry
Aluminium plays a crucial role in the development of the modern automotive industry. Its light weight, strength, and recyclability make it a material used in many vehicle components.
Effective use of aluminium helps reduce vehicle mass, enhance energy efficiency, and increase the range of electric vehicles. However, the growing reliance on this metal highlights the need for reliable supply chains and streamlined logistics operations.
