- Vehicle registration number: For both the tractor and the trailer.
- Vehicle: type (tractor+trailer/solo/set), total length [m], height, width.
- Number of drivers.
- Cargo information: Is the vehicle loaded or empty? Does it transport dangerous goods (ADR)? Is it a refrigerated trailer?
- Preferred route and date: E.g., Świnoujście – Ystad, October 25, evening departure.
- Driver’s identification document (ID card/passport; visas/permits may be required for non-EU citizens)
- Vehicle/trailer registration document, insurance
- Transport document (e.g., CMR), any temperature/refrigeration instructions
- Required DG declaration (class, UN, PG, flash point, quantities), proper labeling and documentation.
- Some classes may be restricted/prohibited on certain vessels (e.g., classes 1 and 7); limits and special stowage conditions apply.
- Advance notification and early check-in (often min. 2 hours).
- Submit exact dimensions (L/W/H), gross weight, axle load distribution, photos/diagram.
- Carrier approval required; surcharges possible, restricted sailings/times, additional lashing and escort at the terminal.
The booking may be forfeited or placed on a waiting list; “no-show”/amendment fees are charged according to the carrier’s tariff. We will assist with rebooking for the next available sailing.
Currently, no ferry operator runs this route, but as an alternative we can suggest the Świnoujście–Ystad ferry + the Malmö–Copenhagen bridge (the Øresund Bridge) or ferry routes between Germany and Denmark.
