Jantar Unity – a modern Ro-Pax ferry joins the Unity Line fleet
Christening Ceremony and First Steps On Board
On Saturday, January 17, 2026, the christening ceremony of the Jantar Unity ferry took place in Szczecin. The vessel, built at Gdańska Stocznia Remontowa S.A., is proof of the highest quality of the Polish shipbuilding industry.
Our team had the opportunity to personally inspect the ferry’s infrastructure, which will now support our clients’ supply chains on the route to Scandinavia.

How to increase transport capacity in the Baltic Sea by over 4,000 lane meters? The Unity Line team and specialists from Gdańska Stocznia Remontowa S.A. know the answer. Last weekend, we participated in the solemn christening of the m/f Jantar Unity – the most modern Ro-Pax ferry, which has just joined the fleet serving the key Świnoujście – Trelleborg connection. The vessel, nearly 196 meters long, is a powerful reinforcement for road transport between Poland and Scandinavia.
As partners supporting our clients’ transport and forwarding needs, we had the unique opportunity to visit the technical decks and cargo spaces even before the ferry’s official entry into service. Jantar Unity impresses not only with its size (4,100 lane meters), but primarily with its advanced technology. Its hybrid LNG-powered propulsion system allows for a 25% reduction in CO₂ emissions, perfectly aligning with a sustainable transport strategy.
“The introduction of m/f Jantar Unity on the Trelleborg route is not only a new quality standard for our clients but, above all, a historic moment for our industry. This modern ferry symbolizes change – greater cargo space, eco-friendly propulsion, and exceptional vessel stability directly translate into delivery reliability and punctuality, which is an absolute priority in today’s logistics.”

The ferry also provides a high standard for drivers and motorized passengers, offering modern hotel cabins and relaxation zones. Safe Return to Port (SRtP) systems and a modern hull design minimizing vibrations ensure that night voyages will take place in utmost comfort. Jantar Unity is currently one of the most modern vessels of its kind in the world, a source of pride for the Polish shipbuilding industry.
Technology for Ecology
Jantar Unity offers not only vast cargo space but, above all, ecological benefits. Thanks to the use of four dual-fuel engines powered by LNG and an energy storage system, CO₂ emissions have been reduced by approx. 25%.
The vessel meets Safe Return to Port (SRtP) requirements, making it one of the safest in the world. A modern ballast system and a hull designed to reduce vibrations ensure maximum comfort during night voyages.
